The mission of Furman University Cross Country and Track, along with the elite post-collegiate club, is to provide continuing support to America’s best distance prospects. RunFurman is about building an environment where life lessons are learned through athletic success.

The RunFurman program is committed to providing an elite athletic experience that closely mirrors a professional approach to training, racing and development. That experience begins with a careful transition into a college setting that prioritizes an individualized approach toward healthy growth through pragmatic training, physiological testing, and top-tier racing opportunities.

Furman University and Furman Elite will work cooperatively to provide post-collegiates with the opportunities and resources necessary to pursue their professional running aspirations, which include:

1. Achievement of IAAF “A” or “B” Standards
2. National Team representation
3. Serving in specific roles that benefit Furman University and the Greenville running community
4. Contribute to the establishement and maintenance of a national distance powerhouse setting

The Furman Elite advisory board consists of members from Furman University as well as those who are active in Greenville community. The board acts as liaisons for RunFurman’s outreach efforts.
